CCDH has issued a number of “reports” on the people that they sneeringly call anti-vaxxers.
My background is science and engineering, so I know that a report follows an investigation to gather facts, which can either be via research or test or other means, assembling those facts in a logical order, drawing a conclusion or set of conclusions and then compiling everything logically into a document, which is a report.
CCDH does not publish “reports” in the proper sense of the word. They start with the premise “Vaccines good: anti-vaxxers bad” (shades of Animal Farm). Then they cherry pick and distort facts to demonstrate, in their minds, that the “anti-vaxxers” are bad.
What they are publishing are polemics not reports (a polemic is a strong verbal or written attack on someone or something: a report is an account given of a particular matter, especially in the form of an official document, after thorough investigation or consideration by an appointed person or body). I have taken the definitions of polemic and report from the internet, where they are readily available for you to check. They are good definitions which clearly show that CCDH is publishing polemics, not reports. Note that a report requires “thorough investigation or consideration”. Their is nothing thorough about their polemics – they just cherry-picked information that they thought would enhance their case. Their behavior is disgusting.
They are also prone to making statements that are completely unverifiable, such as that the “anti-vaxxers” have cost lives. Do they think that the death of every unvaccinated person is down to the people who question the safety and efficacy of Covid-19 vaccines? What about the people who have been killed by the vaccine? Which brings one to Imran Ahmed’s statements that vaccines are safe and effective. Define safety when we know that people have been killed and injured by vaccines. Define effective when vaccinated people are contracting Covid-19 and who, being infected, are quite capable of infecting other people.
This from the BBC website 17 July 2021:
“Health Secretary Sajid Javid has tested positive for Covid-19 and is suffering “very mild” symptoms.
“Mr Javid, who has received both vaccine doses, said on Saturday night a PCR test had confirmed a positive result he received by lateral flow test.
“He said he would continue to self-isolate and work from home.“
Pro-vaxxers would say that his symptoms were mild because he had been vaccinated. That may or may not be true, but without good information it is pure conjecture. Vaccination is government policy, largely because they don’t know what else to do. And because they want everybody to get vaccinated there is no real discussion about the ethics, safety and efficacy of their vaccination programs. And this leaves a vacuum which is filled by the people who have genuine concerns about the ethics, safety and efficacy of the vaccines. And this is one of the reasons that CCDH is so evil – they are trying to shut down any discussion by labeling anything with which they disagree as “misinformation”, or even “disinformation”. And their funding is so opaque that we don’t know whether they are expressing their views or those of their paymasters.
The fact that the vaccinated can contract Covid and pass it on, shows that Imran Ahmed is lying when he says that people who don’t get vaccinated are a risk to others, as if the people who do get vaccinated can’t pass it on. But he keeps banging on about it. So let people have all the information and trust them to decide for themselves whether the greater risk for them is to get vaccinated or not.
These are the CCDH polemics that we have commented on. Click on the links for our comments:
